When I began querying my debut novel, A Time for Us, I believed I had written a story readers would connect with. The publishing industry wasn't so sure.
What I didn't anticipate was hearing, over and over again, that it didn't "fit the current market," or that there were "no comparable novels" to help booksellers know where it belonged. Those comments weren't just rejections of one manuscript; they reflected a larger reality: stories that don't fit neatly into existing categories are often overlooked, no matter how deeply they resonate.
While those rejections were difficult, they revealed something important: so many powerful stories, especially those written by women who refuse to conform, struggle to find a traditional home.
So I decided to build one
Infinite Serenity Publishing is an imprint dedicated to publishing unforgettable stories by women who refuse to compromise their voices.
The first books under this imprint will be the republication of A Time for Us, as a second edition, followed by its sequel, Another Again.
This is just the beginning.
My vision is to grow this imprint into a space where women writers, especially women of color, don’t have to dilute their stories to fit trends; where their voices are respected, developed, and fully supported.
Infinite Serenity Publishing is about courage. It’s about empowerment. It’s about creating the space I once wished existed.
There's a famous saying that has stayed with me throughout my writing journey:
"If you can't find the story you want to read, write it."
I still believe that. But today, I believe something else just as deeply.
If you can't find the publisher who will champion your stories... build it.
